It’s no secret that we love Springfield, and we look forward to celebrating our neighborhood all year long. We’re extra excited for this year’s Springfield Saturday, the annual celebration of our corner of Jacksonville. It’s going to be the best one yet!
We’re honored to feature Jacksonville’s own Mama Blue, the “Sultry Sister of Soul,” for a two-hour evening benefit concert, including both original work and songs you will recognize by greats like Etta James, Tina Turner, the Beatles, John Lennon, and the Rolling Stones. This event will also provide a unique opportunity to amplify our community’s impact. With the funds raised from this concert, we’ll be empowered to make a lasting difference in the lives of survivors.
Gates open at 4:00 PM, with time to find a seat, shop at our retail store, and purchase food and drinks from a selection of local food trucks and beverage vendors, including Windy City Eats, Social Grounds, Soulful Sips, and Queen K’s BBQ & Cupcakes. After you’ve grabbed delicious treats and done some early holiday shopping, the concert will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Things to know:
– Bring chairs or a blanket.
– Adult tickets are $17.10, which is the cost of one-half hour of programming in our Survivor Development Program.
– Kids’s tickets are only $5.00! The event is family-friendly, so please feel free to bring your children, friends, and neighbors.
Remember, this is more than a concert. It’s an opportunity to make an impact in the lives of survivors. So, get ready to enjoy good music, create cherished memories, and dance the night away!
