More About the Delores Barr Weaver Campus of Hope
Containing 36,000 square feet of space, the Campus of Hope houses three buildings on-site. Rethreaded has moved into the main building on the property, which is over 20,000 square feet. This building is ten times the size of Rethreaded’s previous space. The two other buildings located on the Delores Barr Weaver Campus of Hope will be used as rental properties that help cover Rethreaded’s utilities, maintenance, and any future repairs.
The main building was built in 1949 and was originally a train depot. The Campus of Hope resides in Historic Springfield, just on the edge of the East Side. Rethreaded’s new home sits on the border of two important areas of Jacksonville.

“We have been looking for a new building for four years. The moment we walked through this building we knew we had found Rethreaded’s forever home. This building will quadruple our capacity to hire survivors and expand our business model. We are looking forward to being neighbors with both Springfield and East Side residents and businesses. I am confident that Rethreaded can help continue the economic development in both neighborhoods and are so proud to be part of the transformation of this area though business.”
