Turning Eight Is A Great Reason To Celebrate! Rethreaded Birthday Party Highlights

by | Aug 5, 2019

August 3, 2019, was a night to remember. It is impossible for us to pick just one favorite part of the magical evening that changed the lives of survivors right here in Jacksonville, Florida. Together we were able to raise $31,225 due to the generosity of our community and the gracious donation match from Riverside homes! Riverside homes surprised us during the event by increasing their matching donation from $10k up to $30k!  Check out our favorite highlights from the evening.

Rethreaded Eight Birthday Event Party

Guests were able to participate in a variety of activities; taking fun pictures at the Rethreaded photo booth, face painting and epic corn hole games. Kids LOVED the kid zone and playing with the bubbles. However, shopping may have been a favorite activity of the night, Rethreaded’s new  fall line was flying off the shelves! The brand new  Crossbody Wallet in the rich warm combination of black/whiskey and polished combination of whiskey/teal were very popular during the event. Our bestsellers from the evening were the Jaguars Football Tickets (37 sold), the On the Go Purse, Eternity bracelet,  Threads for Hope and our new  Boundless Leather Loop Earrings! Let us know which new piece is your favorite!

Everyone in attendance had a blast with Jackson Deville… Were you able to take a photo with him? Post it online and tag us, we’d love to see it!

Jackson DeVille received his very own grace scarf and rocked it with pride for our guests. Speaking of the Jags, we were able to sell 37 tickets to the New Orleans game on October 13th! Each ticket purchase went directly to supporting our company’s mission of renewing hope, reigniting dreams and releasing potentials for survivors of human trafficking. We are very grateful for the generosity of all that chose to buy a Jags ticket through us! We certainly appreciated Megha Parekh, Chief Legal Officer for the Jaguars, coming to speak and share her love for the city of Jacksonville and Rethreaded. In case you didn’t know, she is one of the only female chief legal officers in the NFL!

Our band for the evening was Bread & Butter who rocked our socks off with incredible covers of:

  • 8 days a week
  • Chain of fools
  • R E S P E C T
  • Sunday morning
  • Superstitious

They are a lovely group of people and we are so thankful for their support. So many people were seen enjoying the live music and dancing the night away as they changed lives with their donations and purchases. It was definitely a special moment when the band stepped forward and dipped their card to donate $25 for one hour of job training for our staff!

Many of you  donated towards our wishlist and dipped into our brand new DIP JAR, because of that: you we are able to provide hours of job training and mental health counseling for our staff! Our dip jar brought in nearly $2,000 (doubled = $4,000) at its inaugural event!

There was no shortage of amazing treats for all of us to indulge in. Jimmy John’s sandwich spread was incredible and Nothing Bundt Cakes far exceeded our dessert expectations. We could tell our guests really loved the Jimmy John’s subs so much so we nearly ran out of sandwiches! Nothing Bundt Cakes white chocolate raspberry cake was INCREDIBLE and a perfect treat for the warm evening. It was great to cool down with incredible iced coffee from Social Grounds Coffee Company and the delicious and unique beers generously served by the amazing Tabula Rasa team.

The evening wrapped up with our lucky raffle winners: We hope you enjoy your delicious dinner from Cowford Chophouse and birthday party package from Nothing Bundt Cakes!

Thank you to all who came out and supported Rethreaded on Saturday. Our community is what keeps us going. By simply showing up, you became a part of the Rethreaded family. You are a group of world changers!

If you could not make it to our celebration or contribute to our wishlist, there is still time to do so! You can shop our newest collection or donate to help the efforts of our survivor advocate program. See you soon!
